Accelerated Reader HomeConnect There is a new component to the Accelerated Reader program called HomeConnect. Check out the Links section on this page or go to this URL on any computer that is linked to the world wide web. Have your child use their AR login to see their tests taken, test results or to find out if a book as an AR quiz. https://hosted11.renlearn.com/712651/HomeConnect/login.aspx We realize students have only a limited time to look for that one great book that will grab their imagination and rouse their love of reading, so we try to make visiting our library a pleasant and stress free experierence. Here are some examples. 1. Our large collections of over 10,000 books is divided into smaller sections. Easy Street = Picture books Easy Nonfiction = Nonfiction books that are grade levels K-2 Fiction = Chapter books Nonfiction = Books about real things that are grade levels 3 and up Biography = Books about people 2. Easy to find Color Coded AR labels Violet................ Kindergarten Red...................First grade level (1.0 to 2.9) Green................Second grade level (2.0 to 2.9) Blue..................Third grade level (3.0 to 3.9) Neon Green........Fourth grade level (4.0 to 4.9 Neon Orange......Fifth grade level (5.0 to 5.9) Neon Yellow ......Sixth grade and up (6.0 and up) 3. We provide many and varied book lists 4. We provide book talks to introduce new titles. 5. We have many eye-pleasing displays that coincide with special times and seasons. 6, We provide personal help finding that special book. Both the librarian and library aid try to read as many of our books as we can, so we are able to match students to their specific reading likes. 7. Most of all it is our desire to teach students how to use the library so as to become more self-sufficient.
